Time to Refuel!
Once inside, it's time for a bite to eat! Among the many restaurants, we're recommending MOS Burger (inside the Foot Town 2F food court). This location has a limited-edition item you can only get here — the "Tokyo Tower Burger"!!

There are several stations near Tokyo Tower, but this recommended model course starts at Exit A4 of Shibakoen Station on the Toei Mita Line! From here, we'll walk toward Tokyo Tower.
Fun Fact
When Shibakoen Station opened in 1973, the line was still called "Toei Line 6" — it wasn't renamed the "Mita Line" until 1978. Step outside, and you'll see Tokyo Tower.
Turn left as you exit A4 at Shibakoen Station and the lush greenery of Shiba Park comes into view on your left. Tokyo Tower soon appears in the distance, too! Enjoy the walk as it gradually draws closer.
Fun Fact
Shiba Park opened in 1873 as one of Japan's very first public parks. Tokyo Tower rose in one corner of it in 1958 as a symbol of postwar recovery.
The area around Tokyo Tower is full of historic spots. This time, we pass through the "Former Taitoku-in Mausoleum Somon Gate" — the south gate of Zojoji Temple's former precincts and a nationally designated Important Cultural Property — on the way to the Shiba Park area.
Fun Fact
Somon Gate was built in 1632 as the entrance to the mausoleum of Tokugawa Hidetada, the second Tokugawa shogun, and survived wartime destruction as a precious historic structure. Through the gate, you can glimpse the beautiful Tokyo Tower, completed in 1958.
Historic Zojoji Temple, with Tokyo Tower rising behind it. Enjoy a view found nowhere else, where Japanese tradition meets the symbol of modern Tokyo!
Fun Fact
Zojoji Temple was relocated to its current site in Shiba in 1598 by Tokugawa Ieyasu — roughly 360 years before Tokyo Tower. Don't miss the striking pairing of the vermilion Sangedatsumon Gate and the tower.
Set against lush greenery and blue sky, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Tokyo Tower. On a fine day, we also recommend sitting or lying back on the grass for a relaxed, unhurried view ♪
Fun Fact
The Prince Shiba Park area once formed part of the Zojoji Temple grounds, home to the mausoleum of Tokugawa Hidetada, the second shogun. Today it's a popular photo spot, with Tokyo Tower visible beyond its lush gardens.
From Shiba Park, head out to Hibiya-dori Avenue and cross at the pedestrian crossing. Climb the slope and in about a 10-minute walk you'll reach the base of Tokyo Tower! The closer you get, the bigger it looks — and the more excited you'll feel ♪
