(1) Purpose of use in the case of obtaining personal information indirectly, as well as directly obtaining personal information outside of documents

We will specify to you the purpose of use every time in cases where we obtain directly entered personal information from you. In any other cases in which we directly obtain personal information, or indirectly obtain personal information, we will handle it within the scope of the following restrictions of purpose of use. 4. Changes to the purpose of use of personal information

Our company may change the purpose of use of personal information, within a scope deemed both relevant and rational. We will notify customers or disclose information if any changes are made.

5. Restrictions on the use of personal information

Excluding situations when allowed in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information or other laws and regulations, our company will not handle personal information exceeding the scope required to achieve the stated purpose of use, without first obtaining consent from customers. However, this does not apply in the following situations.

(1) Cases in which the handling of personal information is based on laws and regulations

(2) Cases in which it is necessary to protect the life, body, or property of an individual, and it is difficult to gain consent from the person

(3) Cases in which it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health, or the promotion of the healthy upbringing of children, and it is difficult to gain consent from the person

(4) Cases in which it is necessary to cooperate with a government organization, local government or person consigned by such organizations in the accomplishment of business established by laws and ordinances, and there are fears that gaining the consent of the person would impede the accomplishment of said business

6. Appropriate acquisition of personal information, and continuous improvement

Our company uses appropriate means to obtain personal information, and does not obtain such information through deceit or other inappropriate means. We also regularly review how we handle personal information, strive to continuously make improvements, and make changes to this privacy policy when required.

7. Secure management of personal information

Our company conducts necessary and appropriate supervision of our employees, in order to securely manage personal information against risks such as loss, destruction, falsification, and leaking. When outsourcing the handling of personal information in whole or in part, our company also conducts necessary and appropriate supervision, in order for subcontractors to securely manage personal information.
We have also established rules for handling personal information, and continue to implement provisions to ensure that this information is securely managed on site.

8. About the "provision to third parties" of personal information

Our company appropriately manages personal information acquired from our customers, and we do not provide it to third parties without gaining the customer's consent in advance. However, the following cases are exceptions.

(1) Cases in which the handling of personal information is based on laws and regulations

In the case of making "requests for disclosure or other requests," upon filling out all of the designated fields of the following application form, please enclose identity verification documents and send by mail to the preceding address.

(4) "Disclosure or other requests" made by a representative
In cases in which the person making the "disclosure or other request" is a legal representative or representative consigned by the applicant, please enclose the documents listed below in addition to the preceding documents.

(5) Charge and method of collection of a "disclosure or other request"
580 yen for every time of application
Please include postal stamps worth 580 yen with your application documents.

* In cases in which the handling charge is insufficient, or in cases in which the charge is not enclosed, regardless of having sent contact to that effect, if the charge is not paid within the designated time, the disclosure requests will not be recognized.

(6) Method for answering "disclosure or other requests"
We will answer by letter to the address written on the applicant's application form.

(7) "Purpose of use" of personal information acquired related to disclosure or other requests
Personal information acquired by disclosure or other requests is handled only within the scope necessary for the request. After the request has been answered, the submitted documents will be saved for 3 years, and will be disposed of after that time.

* Reasons for non-disclosure of "retained personal data"
In the following cases, information will not be disclosed. In cases of non-disclosure, we will notify you with a reason to that effect. Even in cases of non-disclosure, we will collect the designated handling charge.

  • Cases in which the applicant cannot be confirmed
  • Cases in which agency cannot be confirmed, when the application is made by a representative
  • Cases in which the designated application documents are inadequate
  • Cases in which the disclosure request is not applicable to "retained personal information"
  • Cases in which there is a fear of harm to the life, physical well-being, property or other rights or interests of the applicant or a third party
  • Cases in which there is a fear of causing considerable hindrance to the adequate operation of our business
  • Cases which are in violation of other laws or ordinances

10. Cookies and IP address information

Our company stores and references cookies when users browse our website, and automatically obtains various information including IP addresses, viewed pages, and usage environments. These cookies are then recorded on a server.
We use information obtained in this manner to make improvements, such as improving website performance, considering new services to provide to our customers, and improving service. In cases where a third party could use this information as personal data to identify a user, we will only provide information to the third party after obtaining the consent of the user.
In cases where our company could identify a user from this information, we will handle this information as personal information and follow the other provisions of this privacy policy.

Our company collects and analyzes user access logs (histories) generated when users browse our website. 13. Matters relating to the deletion or clearing of personal information

After 5 years have passed since a transaction with a visitor, our company completely and safely deletes and clears retained personal information, without gaining prior or later consent from the visitor.
