Even a large number of people are OK! Providing dining space

Dining Space Available—Large Groups Accommodated!

Tokyo Tower Hall is a dining space on the basement level below the elevator lobby. It can accommodate groups of up to 250 persons. Very few large dining facilities of this size are available in central Tokyo, but here you can enjoy both sightseeing and dining in one spot.
Tokyo Tower Hall is available to all group-tour participants who visit the observatory, and usage comes with no additional charge. You can bring in outside meals, or else order catering services. Plastic partitions are installed between each table.

  • A reservation in advance is required to use this facility (reservations available up to 6 months in advance). For more information, please inquire when reserving your observatory visit.
  • The facility may not be available on event days.
Plenty of parking spaces for large buses!

A large parking facility is available next to Tokyo Tower, enabling smooth drop-offs, parking and pick-ups for school trip groups and others utilizing large numbers of buses. In addition, parking is free for tour buses that transport Tokyo Tower observatory visitors during their visit to the observatory.

  • If all the members of your group visit the observatory, you will receive a free parking validation. Please bring your parking pass to the Operations Center's Group Tour Counter.
  • Refer to the following video for instructions on how to reach the elevator lobby from the parking lot.

Educational content to accompany the view!

For students visiting the Main Deck (150 m) on a school trip or similar, guided tours (15 - 20 minutes) are available to teach about Tokyo Tower's history, scenery visible from the tower, and various fun trivia. We also offer worksheets for students to complete individually. In addition, the Club333 event stage shows educational video content on history of Tokyo and its predecessor, Edo. Students can enjoy the views from Tokyo Tower while learning and educating themselves.

Stair-Climbing as a Fun, Hands-on Activity!

Stair-Climbing as a Fun, Hands-on Activity!

The Open-air Outdoor Stairs Walk is a climb of 600 stairs to the Main Deck (150 m) accompanied by various fun sights along the way. The climb takes about 15 minutes to complete, and the stairs are open (except during poor weather) to promote the beneficial effects of open-air activities. Visitors who use their own legs to climb to the top rather than taking the elevator will surely end the day with a strong sense of accomplishment and cherish the memory of their visit. Furthermore, those who complete the climb will receive an official Stair Climber's Certificate.

  • ・If you are not feeling physically well on the day of your visit, refrain from taking the stairs and use the elevator instead.
  • ・The observatory admission fee is the same whether you use the stairs or the elevator.
  • ・Open hours for the stairs vary by time of year.

Various Souvenir Shops Offering Plenty of Tokyo Products!

The second and third floors of Foot Town, which is located at the base of Tokyo Tower, are home to an official shop offering products only available at Tokyo Tower, stores serving up famous Tokyo confections and snacks, vendors of good-old-fashioned Japanese products, and much more to meet all of your souvenir and gift shopping needs. You'll find everything from commonplace products to stylish and classy selections at this diverse lineup of shops—where looking is half the fun! It is conveniently located to stop by after visiting the observatory, while waiting for the tour bus to pick you up.

Group Tours: Reaching the Tower and Paying Admission

Tokyo Tower is built atop a hill, so the main entrance is on the first floor of Foot Town and the parking-lot-side entrance is on the second floor. Once you arrive by bus in the parking lot next to the tower, head to the first-floor elevator lobby. Please view the video for further explanation. The video also provides a floor guide for the facilities, and explains the return route after your observatory visit, where to gather for boarding buses, and where payments and other procedures are to be completed. Please view it in preparation for your visit. For information on nearby train and subway stations, please see below for the details.
